Rare Green diamond

A rare 2.52 carat green diamond was sold to an unknown buyer for €2.05 million (£1.83 million), Sotheby’s said. It was the highest price ever paid for a vivid green diamond. A ruby and diamond necklace and earrings made for the Duchess of Roxburghe in 1884 sold for €3.86 million, five times its estimated price, at the auction in Geneva.
