4 of The Worlds Most Famous Diamonds

These diamonds are not your everyday, run of the mill stones. You cannot buy them at your favorite online jewelery store and you cannot mount them on your wifes diamond engagment ring.

One of the more famous diamonds would be the Amsterdam diamond. This rare black diamond from Africa is completely black and is 55.85 carats (11.71 g). It has 145 facets and it fetched an exorbitant 352,000 dollars at it’s 2001 sale. The stone was first shown in February, 1973, at D.
Drukker & Zn., Amsterdam.

Another very famous diamond is the Briolette of India Diamond. Apparently this is the oldest diamond in the world. It was brought by the first queen of France to England.

One of the most unusual diamonds in the world is the Grand Conde which is a light pink color. The king apparently presented this diamond to the Prince of Conde.
